I registered for the Run for Kenya, but am not going to be able to make it. Can I get my money back? Unfortunately there are no refunds. Know that your registration fee is going to support the completion of the IntegrityHealth Medical and Dental Clinic in Meto, Kenya. Through this clinic thousands of individuals will have access to life saving medical treatment.
I cannot run but would like to support the event. What should I do? Please consider sponsoring others to run! Your tax deductible donation will go towards scholarships for individuals unable to cover their registration fee. Please contact Averee Hicks at email@example.com or 334.322.1201 for more information.
I won’t be able to make the event, but want a t-shirt. What can I do? Register for the Virtual Race! We will mail you a t-shirt the week after the race.
Do you need volunteers for the event? We do! Please contact Elizabeth Gilmer at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in volunteering.
Can I pick up my run packet before the event? You can. We will have a pre-packet pickup Friday, September 22 from 8 am until 6 pm at Revival Coffee- 22 Church Street, Selma, Alabama 36701.
For those unable to make it to the pre packet pick up yours will be available beginning at 7:30 am on Saturday, September 23.
Will the race be timed? The 5K and 10K will be timed. The 1 mile race will not be time. For the 5k and 10K, your time will start when you cross over the starting line. Your personal time will be available immediately following your completion of the race and the final results and standings shortly following. A chip will be attached to your bib and will activate when you cross the pads at the start and finish lines. It is very important that you only cross the start and finish line once. If you are planning to run alongside another friend or family member you MUST remove your bib. Failure to do so may result in your time being erased.
What is the route? You can view the routes HERE.
Where should I park? We recommend parking at the Dallas County Courthouse or Regions Bank parking lots. Both lots are quick walks to the start line.
What time should I be at the race? Registration will open at 7:30 am and close at 8:45 am on Saturday, September 23. We recommend getting to the event as early as possible to avoid the crowd. Hundreds of people will be parking and registering that morning so be sure to plan accordingly! The event will start promptly at 9am.
What should I expect on race day? A lot of fun! Not only will we be running, but we will have food, live music, shopping at ShopIntegrity and activities for kids.
Do I get a t-shirt? Yes, a super soft shirt is included in your registration fee.
Are dogs or strollers allowed on the course? Yes. This is an event for the whole family so bring your kids and furry friends along. For the safety of the runners we do ask that you start towards the back of the pack to allow the runners the opportunity to go ahead of you.
